    • 1 pound (450 g) fresh ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)

    • Loisa Organic Sazón, to taste

    • Loisa Organic Adobo, to taste

    • 4 slices American cheese

    • Loisa Sal Marina, to taste

    • 4 eggs

    • 4 slices bacon

    • 1 10oz package of queso de freir, cut into 4 slices.

    • Mayoketchup

    blank

    • 1 large yuca

    • 1 bowl of salted cold water

    • Vegetable or canola oil, for frying

    Directions

      blank

      1. Heat your griddle over medium-high heat. Drizzle with oil and place your hamburger buns on the griddle to toast lightly. Once toasted, set them aside.

      2. Take portions of fresh ground beef and shape into 8 individual balls.

      3. Next, fry the bacon until crisp.

      4. Place the ground beef balls on the hot griddle. Using a spatula, flatten them down to form patties. Season with Sazón and Adobo. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

      5. Flip the patties and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until desired doneness is achieved.

      6. Once cooked, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt. Then, set aside.

      7. Add your four eggs to the griddle and cook over easy.

      8. To make the queso frito, heat 2 - 4 inches of oil in In a large pot to about 325°.

      9. One at a time, carefully place the slices of queso into the hot oil, and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn golden brown and crispy.

      10. Use a slotted spoon or tongs to carefully remove the fried queso frito slices from the oil and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Allow to cool slightly before assembling the burgers.

      11. To assemble the burgers, add two patties to each toasted burger bun. Stack cooked bacon slices, a fried egg, and a slice of queso frito on top of the cheese-melted patties.

      12. Add mayoketchup and any other desired toppings.

      1. Begin by cutting off the ends of the yuca and peeling the outer layer. Rinse it in water and dry well.

      2. Using a mandolin, slice the yuca into individual chips with a thickness of about 3 mm.

      3. Place the yuca chips in a bowl of cold salted water and let them soak until you're ready to fry. This helps remove excess starch.

      4. Drain the chips and pat them dry thoroughly with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.

      5. Preheat oil in a deep fryer or a deep pot to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (you can use the same pot and oil you used to fry the queso frito)

      6. Carefully add the dried yuca chips to the hot oil in batches, being cautious not to overcrowd the fryer or pot. Fry for about 5 minutes or until golden and crispy.

      7. Remove the fried yuca chips from the oil and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.

      8. Season the chips with a sprinkle of salt and toss them gently to ensure even seasoning.

      9. Serve with your Queso Frio Smash Burger and enjoy!
