We’re set on #feedingtradition with better quality, proudly flavored, real Latin foods. This all came from a need we felt in our own homes and believed many others also shared. It’s time to upgrade the Latin kitchen, and we’re just getting started.
Loisa is a Latin-owned business. Both of our co-founders come from families of mixed cultural backgrounds. Kenny Luna is Dominican / Peruvian-American and his wife is French. Scott Hattis is - yes - a White guy raising a family with his wife, Anna, who is Dominican-American. He won her love through his devotion to tying the perfect pastel. All are owners in this business. Chef, food activist, and educator Yadira Garcia, of Happy Healthy Latina, is Dominican-American and also an owner in this business.
Loisa is an homage to “Loisaida” - the Spanglish name for the Lower East Side barrio of downtown New York City (our home city) and one of the hearts of local Latin culture & cuisine.
Start with the Flavor Trio, El Gran Combo, and you’ll be on your way to some pure & classic Latin flavor - includes 1 Sazón, 1 Adobo, and 1 Sofrito!

When the flavor is pure, the possibilities are endless! Try our seasonings in classic Latin dishes like Arroz con Gandules or get creative and up your breakfast game with some sazon eggs or tofu. Once you have them in your pantry, you’ll see! Plus, you can always find new recipes and inspiration on our blog.
Our sofrito is incredibly versatile, especially compared to your typical store bought versions. In general. you can use 1-2 tbsp for every cup or rice or beans to make flavorful classics, or get creative and thin with olive oil for an herby dressing, or simply dip or drizzle out of the jar with tostones or your favorite veggies.
The reasons are many! Our sazon and adobo seasonings are USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO, Vegan, Plant-based, Gluten Free, Certified Kosher, and MSG Free - and always will be. Plus, we never use artificial colors or flavors, unnecessary fillers, or any other questionable ingredients.
No, and there never will be! It’s unfortunate, but many “big food” companies still include anti-caking agents or other artificial ingredients like MSG in their seasonings. Doing this makes each bottle cheaper to produce, but at the expense of your health. Often these ingredients aren’t vegan either, even though labels don’t have to say it.
All of our foods and seasonings are manufactured here in the U.S.A.
We recommend enjoying any spice or seasoning within 8-12 months of opening the bottle. That's how you'll get the freshest & most vibrant flavor in anything you cook. Unopened, you can refer to the "best by" date on the bottom of your bottle, which is usually 2-3 years from purchase.
Our seasonings and spices are made in a facility that is Top 8 allergen-free! Our sofrito is made in a facility that processes wheat, soy, nuts and dairy.
We like to say it depends on how much time you have. The microwave is super fast - simply tear open a two inch section at the top of the pouch, heat for 90 seconds, and enjoy! The stovetop allows for more creativity, however, as you can mix the rice with eggs, tofu, or any other protein, along with 2 tbsp. water or olive oil, for a one-pan meal in 4-5 minutes.
While our products aren’t on sale very often, we do provide a 10% discount on your first order if you sign up for our newsletter (scroll down to the bottom of this page to join in). It’s a win-win, really. You get some sweet savings now, plus you’ll stay up to date on our news in the future.
